Friday night for the football game, we will be playing pep band and doing part of our show for halftime. Loading trucks will be at 4:15pm and the band bus will be at 5:15. Performance will be in uniform. Uniforms and equipment will be left at the stadium so they will be ready for Saturday.

Saturday – students should meet at the school at 10:45 or at the stadium in uniform at 11:45. Mr. Dunlop needs to know if you will not be riding the bus.

After the preliminary performance, the band students will meet to warm up for finals at 5:45pm.

Brass players need to stay for a few minutes after prelims to clean the stands. Woodwinds will need to stay after finals to clean the stands.

There will be a bus after finals to bring students home to Century.

All will be expected to help load and clean up after the competition at the stadium as well as at Century.

Please note that there are no meals planned to feed the Century kids this Saturday. Please send food/money with your student for the day. You could also bring them food at anytime!

Next week

Practices will be on Tuesday and Friday (not Thursday) on Friday, practice will be from 5:00-8:00pm so that we can finish a little earlier. Equipment will be loaded after practice into the trucks.

Saturday morning, November 7th we will meet at Century at 6:30 am to leave for Corvalis. We perform at 11:10 am.

Our finals performance should be after 8:00pm, but we won’t know until after the preliminary awards.

Finals are not over until 10:35pm, so we will not be home until about 1:30am, sorry everyone.

The CHAMP Food committee will be providing dinner for this competition, but students need to eat before they leave home and bring a sack lunch.

Needs for the OSU competition:

We need a crew of adults who can go down ahead of the students to set up our party tent. This will be our only shelter for that day. If anyone has a generator we can borrow for that day, we could use them.

We need someone who might have a trailer that we can use to get the gator to the OSU stadium and back.

(we could also use it this Saturday if anyone will loan a trailer)

The Century Band and Colorguard will be selling Coke products again this fall. Sales begin immediately. Attached is an order form listing which products are for sale. We will be selling soda by the case (24 bottles per case). Sodas are 20 oz bottles. We are selling them for $22.00 per case which is .92 cents per bottle. For every case sold, $5.80 will go into your account.

Money and order forms will be due on Thursday, November 12th by 3:30 p.m. (all money needs to be collected and turned in with the order form). Please put order form and money in an envelope with your name, amount collected and what it is for on the front of the envelope and put it in the silver box in the band room.

Coke will be delivering our order to the school on Wednesday, November 18th. You will need to pick up your order at the band room between 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on November 18th. Orders can also be picked up November 19th 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. If you need to make arrangements for a different pick up time, please give me a call.
