Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are Krista Bryant and Amanda Dostert and we are members of the Century High School Colorguard and Varsity Winterguard teams. We are seniors this year and we are conducting this camp not only as a fundraiser for our three time gold medal winning undefeated Winterguard, but also as our senior project.
This camp will provide an opportunity for your child to get involved in the community, be on TV (every kid’s dream), make new friends, and learn and perform a routine that we have choreographed ourselves. This is a unique experience, because it involves children from all schools in the district from every grade, kindergarten through eighth.
At this camp, your child will learn dance basics, flag basics, and the routine for the parade. As a thank you for their participation, your child will receive a T-shirt and can keep the flag they use during the parade. Because of this, we would appreciate receiving the finished registration form as soon as possible. We will be picking them from your child’s school soon, so please get them in.
This is what we need from you: $40 to cover the T-shirt, the flag, snacks, and transportation. Please make checks out to Century High School and we accept cash, as well. We will provide the snacks, however please pack your child a lunch for the day of the camp. On the day of the parade, your child will need to wear black pants, tennis shoes, and a Santa hat. It will be cold, so please feel free to bundle your child up in layers however, gloves make holding a flag very difficult so please take that into consideration.
