Join us at the 2009 Century Marching Band Showcase!
We, at Century, are proud to host the 2009 Century Marching Band Showcase on October 31st at Hillsboro Stadium! Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to see more than 1,400 students presenting programs unique to marching band competitions. These students have worked tirelessly over the last six weeks to perform amazing shows.
In addition to reveling in the marching band spectacle, the Century High Awesome Moms and Pops are sponsoring a costume drawing and a safe, family-friendly trick or treating experience for children under 12.
The 2009 Century Marching Band Showcase features a special exhibition by:
The Century High School Marching Band
under the Direction of Mr. Jim Dunlop
Moonlight Madness
This year’s show explores our fear of the dark. The first movement is about our initial reaction to the dark. The 2nd movement explores the “what was that and who’s out there” games that our minds often play on us at night. The 3rd movement is the discovery that the night time is the best time to have fun and cut things loose. We hope that you enjoy our brief moment in the dark.
