Marching Band & Colorguard
Grades:Â 9-12Â Â Â Â Season: Fall
Marching Band consists of all members of Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Colorguard and Percussion. They perform at four to six performances throughout the Northwest, plus two parades. Every year this group travels to regional competitions and performances.
Winter Percussion Ensemble
Grades: 9-12 Season: Winter
Winter Percussion is a winter season activity made up of percussion instruments including drums and front ensemble. It is practiced and performed indoors. Students must be in the percussion class to be in Winter Percussion. Winter Percussion involves choreography, music, and drill (formations and movement on the floor). This is a high-intensity, very exciting group. Tryouts and practices start mid December and go through the beginning of April. Every other year this group will participate in a non regional trip/competition.
Winterguard
Grades:Â 9-12Â Â Â Â Season: Winter
Winterguard is a winter season activity made up of flags, wooden rifles, swords, and dance. Winterguard is practiced and performed indoors. Tryouts occur mid December, and practices start after tryouts through the end of March. There is a Winterguard participation fair share fee and costume fee. It is highly encouraged that all color guard members also participate in winterguard as skills learned benefit both.
Percussion Cadets
Grades: 7 - 8 Season: Winter
The Youth Percussion operates under the umbrella of the Century High School Band & Colorguard. This group is composed of students in grades 7-8 who are interested in exploring percussion. Winter percussion is practiced and performed indoors. There is a winter percussion participation and costume fee. The students will compete in 3-4 competitions around the area.
Winterguard Cadets
Grades: 7 - 8 Season: Winter
The Youth Guard operates under the umbrella of the Century High School Band & Colorguard. This group is composed of students in grades 7-8 who are interested in exploring guard. Winterguard is practiced and performed indoors. There is a Winterguard participation and costume fee. The students will compete in 3-4 competitions around the area.
