Spring 2013
THURSDAYS
April 4 – May 31, 2013
6:30pm – 8:20pm
CHOMP is designed to be an opportunity for young musicians, high school musicians, and adult musicians to get together and learn from one another. this is a great chance for everyone in the Hillsboro area to take an active role in the musical-education of our youth. This staff has been hand selected to provide all participants with an excellent musical experience.
In our last session, we averaged 105 students from 16 different schools, 30 high school volunteers, and 7 professional musicians. CHOMP has participated in numerous concerts and community events.
CHOMP is not a replacement of school programs, but a supplement. As such, all students must be active in their school programs, if their schools have a program.
We are excited this session to have on staff:
- Jim Dunlop – Century High Director
- Kevin Soon – Liberty High Director
- Corrie Cook – Flute Pro
- Rie Faunt – Trumpet Pro
- Evin McHill – Percussion
- Alicia Charlton – Clarinet Pro
- Carol Olsen – French Horn
- Andrew Magnusen – Bass/guitar
- Many high school tutors
We will be offering Bass Guitar!
I hope to see you at CHOMP! If you have any questions, feel free to call me.
